Fiber Technician - Rotational Travel (3 weeks on/1 weekoff) Mackenzie, BC, Canada Pay rate: $35-$45 3 month contract (high possibility of extension through 2027) Required Skills & Experience *2–3+ years of experience in fiber optic, telecom, network infrastructure, *Hands-on experience with fiber optic cable installation, routing, termination, and fusion splicing *Experience performing fiber testing and troubleshooting using tools such as OTDRs, light source/power meters, VFLs, and fiber certification equipment *Strong understanding of fiber optic network standards, cable management, pathway installation, and industry best practices *Ability to read and interpret splice diagrams, fiber schematics, test results, and technical documentation Nice to Have Skills & Experience *Associate's degree or equivalent technical/military experience *Experience with single-mode and multimode fiber, MPO/MTP connectivity, and fiber distribution systems *Familiarity with both inside plant (ISP) and outside plant (OSP) fiber environments *Experience with structured cabling installations, including copper and fiber infrastructure *OSHA, CFOT, BICSI, FOA, NFPA 70E, or other relevant safety/industry certifications Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Candidates need 2-3+ years of experience in fiber optics and telecom infrastructure with a strong ability to interpret technical schematics. An associate's degree or relevant industry certifications such as CFOT or BICSI are preferred.
