Job summary
JOB DESCRIPTION Insight Global is looking for a Front Office Trading SME to support a short-term advisory engagement focused on reviewing trading operations, controls, and trading desk best practices. This is a 2 month contract and can be completed remotely or from Calgary. The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on experience from an energy, utilities, power, or oil & gas trading environment and be comfortable advising senior stakeholders on how trading organizations should operate. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • 10+ years of experience in energy, power, utilities, or oil & gas trading • Hands-on front-office trading experience (Trader, Trading Manager, Head of Trading, Portfolio Manager, etc.) • Strong understanding of how a trading desk operates day-to-day • Experience overseeing trade execution, risk controls, and position management Ability to provide practical recommendations based on real-world trading experience NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Power generation or utilities trading experience • Experience leading trading teams Consulting, advisory, or stakeholder-facing experience Payrate: 100-150/hr
