Required Skills & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, software engineering or related - Advanced knowledge of Python, particularly the Pandas package and environment - Basic knowledge of Git and GitHub. - Basic knowledge of mechanical design and engineering drawing tolerancing - Experience with GOM or Polyworks Nice to Have Skills & Experience - French is an asset Job Summary Insight Global is seeking a Python Automation Developer to join a top aerospace company in Longueuil, QC. This role is 5x week onsite. The successful candidate will be responsible for automating part inspection using 3D scanning, from interpreting engineering requirements to extracting measurement results from scanned parts. In addition, programming projects related to inspection plan generation tools, databases, or dashboard development may also be assigned. Key Responsibilities - Developing Python-based automation tools that support the inspection of aerospace engine components using 3D scanning technology. - Reading and interpreting engineering inspection requirements from files such as XML, YAML, CSV, and TXT. - Converting those requirements into inspection programs within metrology software like GOM and PolyWorks. - Automating the extraction of measurements and inspection results from scanned parts. - Creating automated Excel reports, databases, and dashboards to visualize inspection data and results. AI: We may use artificial intelligence tools to assist with the screening, assessment, or selection of potential applicants for this position. Requirements
