Job summary
Job Description: Insight Global is seeking a Senior Accountant to support audit and review engagements for public company clients for a local leading accounting and advisory firm. This individual will review financial records, test financial controls, prepare financial statements and audit reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. They will work directly with clients, manage multiple engagements, identify and resolve financial discrepancies, mentor junior team members, and support business development initiatives. Responsibilities: Execute audit and review engagements for public company clients Perform walkthroughs of key financial and operational processes Review and validate audit evidence across financial statement areas Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and related financial reports Investigate and resolve discrepancies within financial records Draft client correspondence, reports, presentations, and engagement summaries Support new client onboarding and file setup Manage multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously Build and maintain strong client relationships Mentor and coach junior accounting staff Participate in business development and client growth initiatives. Required Skills & Experience 2-4+ years of public accounting experience Experience performing audits and financial statement reviews Strong understanding of Canadian Accounting Standards (CAS, IFRS) Knowledge of US accounting and audit standards (PCAOB, US GAAP) Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously CPA Designation
