Title: Sr Data Analyst Location: 2x Onsite per week in any of the following offices: Toronto, Mississauga, Guelph, Burlington, Calgary, Regina, Quebec City, Montreal Duration: Contract, 15 months Pay range: $47-$52 per hour Vacancy Status: This posting is for a currently vacant role, and the successful candidate will be hired into an existing open position Job Description: Insight Global is seeking a qualified Senior Data Analyst to support one of Canada's leading insurance companies. The team supports Commercial Underwriting and is involved in the Advanced Commercial Underwriting (ACU) initiative. This role will focus on analyzing underwriting data, evaluating business rules, and helping underwriters make informed decisions. The position is not directly tied to modernization projects and will operate as a key business-facing analytics resource. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • 5-8+ years of Data Analysis experience. • Strong SQL skills. • Experience working with Azure Synapse and Databricks. • Insurance industry experience, ideally supporting underwriting or commercial insurance functions. • Ability to work autonomously and manage stakeholder relationships independently. Strong communication and collaboration skills with business teams. NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Experience working with MicroStrategy dashboards and reporting. • Business Analysis skills, including requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and translating business needs into analytical solutions. Experience making recommendations based on data insights, not just producing reports. Artificial intelligence tools are used to assist with in screening and assessing applicants for this position.
