Insight Global is looking for a Technical Writer to support the development of regulatory filings, tariff applications, and business case documentation for the transmission business. This role will work closely with engineering, regulatory, finance, and asset strategy teams to translate complex technical and operational information into clear, concise, and regulator-ready documentation. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting upcoming regulatory submissions, including preparations for the 2028-2031 tariff application cycle, while assisting with responses to regulatory information requests and quality assurance activities throughout the filing process. Key Responsibilities Develop and edit regulatory filings, tariff applications, and supporting business case documentation. Collaborate with engineering, finance, and asset management teams to gather data and supporting evidence. Translate complex engineering concepts, asset strategies, and investment plans into language suitable for regulators, economists, and legal stakeholders. Support development of capital investment justifications and operating expenditure business cases. Ensure consistency with prior regulatory filings while tailoring content to new regulatory requirements and investment plans. Conduct document reviews, proofreading, and quality assurance activities. Coordinate and support preparation of responses to regulatory information requests (IRs) following filing submissions. Maintain documentation standards and contribute to continuous improvement of filing processes. Leverage AI-enabled tools and technologies to improve documentation efficiency and quality. Required Qualifications 5+ years of technical writing experience within utilities, energy, infrastructure, engineering, or regulated industries. Experience supporting regulatory filings, rate applications, or compliance documentation. Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Excellent writing, editing, and document management skills. Experience working with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, finance, legal, and regulatory stakeholders. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Alberta utility regulation and regulatory filing processes. Familiarity with the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) and cost-of-service regulatory frameworks. Knowledge of transmission or electric utility operations and asset management practices. Experience supporting information request (IR) response processes. Exposure to AI-based content development, document review, or knowledge management tools. Requirements

Candidates should have strong writing and editing skills, be able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences, collaborate across disciplines, and be proficient in Microsoft Office; Alberta utility regulation experience is preferred.
