Insight Global is seeking a Tooling Designer to join a top aerospace company in Longueuil, QC. This team is responsible for designing custom tooling solutions that enable the assembly, alignment, lifting, fixturing, and production of aerospace components. In this role, you will work directly with internal stakeholders to understand tooling requirements, create 3D designs in CATIA, participate in design reviews, and release drawings for manufacturing. This role is 5x week onsite in Longueuil, QC. Key Responsibilities Design manufacturing tooling, fixtures, lifting devices, alignment tools, and assembly aids using 3D CAD software (CATIA preferred). Collaborate with internal customers to gather requirements and develop tooling concepts. Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings. Participate in design reviews and incorporate stakeholder feedback. Support the development of new tooling solutions for upcoming manufacturing projects. Work closely with manufacturing and tooling teams to ensure designs meet operational requirements. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and tooling standardization efforts. Must Haves DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related discipline, or a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. 0 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design, tooling design, product design, or a related engineering environment. Experience with 3D CAD software (CATIA preferred; other CAD platforms accepted). Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Fluent French communication skills and intermediate English. Assets Previous tooling design experience. Exposure to manufacturing or aerospace environments. Knowledge of mechanical design best practices and drafting standards. Compensation: $20/hr to $50/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. We may use artificial intelligence tools to assist with the screening, assessment, or selection of potential applicants for this position.
