JOB DESCRIPTION Insight Global is seeking experienced Individual Life Underwriters to join a rapidly growing Insurance client. This role is ideal for underwriters with 4–15 years of traditional life and critical illness underwriting experience with meaningful signing authority (typically $1M–$1.5M+), offering exposure beyond capped or affinity-market models. In this role, underwriters will independently assess and underwrite traditional individual life and CI policies, making full, uncapped underwriting decisions on higher-value and higher-complexity cases. Successful candidates bring strong critical‑thinking skills, the confidence to exercise signing authority and challenge assumptions, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders in a fast‑paced underwriting environment. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE -4–15 years of underwriting experience (individual insurance) -Experience underwriting traditional individual life insurance (Not affinity or strictly group market only) -Signing authority: Generally $1M+ life insurance + CI signing authority strongly preferred -Experience evaluating higher-rating and higher-complexity cases -Strong questioning and critical-thinking skills -Ability to validate requirements and challenge assumptions -Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Experience across multiple carriers or reinsurers, such as: Sun Life, Manulife, Empire Life, Co-operators, Canada Life, Desjardins, Aviva, Reinsurers like RGA, Swiss Re, Munich Re, PartnerRe, Gen Re, Optimum Re, etc.,
