Insight is currently seeking a Mammographer/X-Ray Technologist to join our dynamic and expanding team. This is a permanent, full-time position, with rotation across our 16 locations in Edmonton and the surrounding area. Insight offers: * Paid Vacation, Sick Days, and Flex Days * RRSP Matching * Educational Allowance * Employer Paid Benefits * Healthcare Spending Account Duties and Responsibilities: * Perform, document, and record a range of standardized and complex imaging procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety. * Report unusual or abnormal findings to the Radiologist and assist Radiologists and staff as needed. * Operate, monitor, and perform basic maintenance on all DI equipment; ensure equipment is functioning properly. * Maintain a clean, safe radiographic environment with strong attention to radiation safety and infection control. * Prepare and instruct patients for examinations; provide general patient care. * Use computer systems and complete DI office duties as required. * Support departmental procedures, quality control, and orientation standards. * Assist with training and orientation of new staff and students when requested. * Replenish supplies and report inventory shortages, equipment issues, or other shift concerns to the Site Lead. * Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and results. * Be willing to cross-train in Bone Densitometry, Fluoroscopy, and ECGs. * Perform other duties as required. Skills: * Committed to excellence in patient care, quality control, and diagnostic imaging standards. * Demonstrates clinical competency in radiography, including breast imaging procedures and technical parameters. * Maintains professionalism and handles challenging or high-stress situations with sensitivity and composure. * Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging practices and proficient computer skills. * Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities. * Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach. * Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications: * MRT(R) designation in good standing with ACMDTT * Completed Mammography Level 1 certification. Level 2 certification is considered an asset. * Willingness to learn Breast Ultrasound and interventional procedures is an asset. * Pain Management and Bone Densitometry trained preferred. * Completion of Medication Preparation training within the first 6 months of employment * Completion of Bone Densitometry training within the first 6 months of employment. * CPR Standard First aid certificate is an asset. Candidates must hold an MRT(R) designation in good standing with ACMDTT and possess Mammography Level 1 certification. Strong clinical competency in radiography and a commitment to patient care excellence are required.
