Insight is currently seeking an MRT/CLXT to join the dynamic and expanding team at our Unity Square clinic. This is a full-time position on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. Insight offers: * Paid Vacation, Sick Days, and Flex Days * RRSP Matching * Educational Allowance * Employer Paid Benefits * Healthcare Spending Account Duties and Responsibilities: * Prepares and performs a variety of standardized and/or complex procedures as set forth by the Radiologists and our referring Physicians. * Responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of all equipment. * DI Equipment: Must have working knowledge of all equipment and ensure all units are functioning correctly. * Responsible for maintaining safety and the general care and cleanliness of the radiographic area, with particular attention to radiation safety and infection control. * Knowledge of computer systems and all DI office duties. * Assist in the training of new staff and students, as requested by MGM. * Willingness to cross train in BD, Fluoroscopy and ECG’s. Skills: * Committed to excellence in patient care, quality control and adherence to diagnostic imaging standards. * Clinical competency in medical radiography. * Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and practices. * Proficient computer skills. * Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications: * MRT(R)/CLXT designation in good standing CAMRT, ACMDTT or ACCLXT. * Bone Density and Pain Management trained preferred. * Medication preparation certificate is preferred. * CPR Standard First aid certificate is an asset. What you’ll do
Perform a variety of standardized and complex diagnostic imaging procedures while maintaining equipment and ensuring radiation safety. Assist in training new staff and students and cross-train in Bone Density, Fluoroscopy, and ECGs.
Requirements
Requires an MRT(R)/CLXT designation in good standing with CAMRT, ACMDTT, or ACCLXT. Preferred qualifications include Bone Density, Pain Management, and Medication Preparation certifications.
