Insight is currently seeking X Ray Technologists to join our dynamic and expanding team. This is a permanent, full-time position with rotation across our 16 locations in Edmonton and the surrounding area. Insight offers: * Paid Vacation, Sick Days and Flex Days * RRSP Matching * Educational Allowance * Employer Paid Benefits * Healthcare Spending Account Duties and Responsibilities: * Prepares and performs a variety of standardized and/or complex procedures as set forth by the Radiologists and our referring Physicians. * Responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of all equipment. * DI Equipment: Must have working knowledge of all equipment and ensure all units are functioning correctly. * Responsible for maintaining safety and the general care and cleanliness of the radiographic area, with particular attention to radiation safety and infection control. * Knowledge of computer systems and all DI office duties. * Assist in the training of new staff and students, as requested by MGM. * Willingness to cross train in BD, Fluoroscopy and ECG’s. Skills: * Committed to excellence in patient care, quality control and adherence to diagnostic imaging standards. * Clinical competency in medical radiography. * Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and practices. * Proficient computer skills. * Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications: * Pain Management and Bone Densitometry trained preferred. * Completion of Medication Preparation training within the first three months of employment * CLXT: Enrolment in Bone Densitometry course within first three months of employment and completion within first 6 months of employment. * MRT: Completion of Bone Densitometry training within the first 3 months of employment. * CPR Standard First aid certificate is an asset.
