About IBAC The Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) is the national association representing provincial and territorial insurance broker associations across Canada. IBAC supports insurance brokers through advocacy, public awareness, and nationally recognized professional development programs. The Role IBAC is seeking an Instructional Design Specialist to design and deliver high‑quality education and professional development content in support of our national programs, including the Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation and Fundamentals of Insurance (FOI). This is a hands-on role focused on building and maintaining engaging, accessible learning experiences across digital and print formats, working closely with subject‑matter experts, internal teams, and member associations in a federated national model. Key Responsibilities Design and develop adult learning content, assessments, and learning activities for national professional development programs Build and maintain courses and learning materials in Articulate Rise and D2L Brightspace Develop supporting resources such as digital and print textbooks, study guides, and learner supports Apply instructional design best practices to ensure content is engaging, accessible, and effective Collaborate with subject‑matter experts and stakeholders to refine and validate course content Support program updates, modernization efforts, and quality assurance processes Design content that reflects accessibility and inclusive‑design principles, supporting diverse learner needs Required Skills & Experience Post‑secondary education in education, learning & development, or a related field 3-5 years’ experience in instructional design, learning design, or curriculum development Demonstrated experience designing adult learning content across digital and print formats Experience developing learning content using Articulate Rise or similar authoring tools Experience working in D2L Brightspace or other learning management systems (LMS) Strong collaboration skills and comfort working with multiple stakeholders Experience supporting professional, credentialed, or regulated education programs is an asset Why Join IBAC Contribute to nationally recognized education programs for insurance brokers across Canada Work in a mission‑driven organization at the intersection of education, professionalism, and public trust Play a meaningful role in modernizing and strengthening broker education nationwide Join a collaborative, supportive team in a hybrid work environment Accessibility & Inclusive Workplace IBAC is committed to an inclusive and accessible workplace in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
