Responsibilities & Expectations The primary responsibility of the Shipper/Receiver is the accurate and efficient picking/packing and moving of items on the premises. Other Responsibilities Include Picking, packing and moving items on the premises and maintaining proper records of movements. Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials. Conduct pre-use inspections of equipment and report any issues to the supervisor. Properly enter information in the storage application using computers and tablets. Maintain a safe and clean environment in storage and shipping/receiving areas. Wrapping, banding and staging equipment for pickup. Accurately complete shipping documentation. Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods. Support the Asset Management Coordinator with equipment placement strategies and maximizing usable space. Support warehouse/inventory audits. Complete asset maintenance and documentation. Qualifications And Competencies Have relevant experience, ideally in an industrial plant /operations role or inventory management. Expert forklift skills. Intermediate computer and tablet skills. Intermediate/Expert lifting and rigging experience. The environment includes exposure to loud noises, heat, cold, dirty/dusty.
