Agentic Platform Lead US Remote 3-Month Contract-to-Hire We’re working with a growing technology organisation looking for an Agentic Platform Lead to build the infrastructure powering AI agents across a portfolio of products. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who can architect scalable platforms, build developer infrastructure and lead an engineering team, while remaining close to the code. What you’ll be doing Own the architecture and delivery of a scalable AI/agent platform Build infrastructure for agent orchestration, APIs, security, monitoring and governance Create platform capabilities that allow product teams to independently develop and deploy AI features Make key technical decisions around architecture, build vs. buy and emerging AI technologies Lead, mentor and grow the platform engineering team, including hiring Work directly with product and engineering teams to drive platform adoption Remain hands-on with backend services, APIs and platform development What we’re looking for 5+ years in platform engineering, distributed systems or similar Proven experience building and scaling multi-tenant platforms or developer infrastructure Strong full-stack development experience across backend, APIs and web applications Strong API design and developer tooling experience Experience architecting complex workflows and stateful systems Experience leading technical teams and hiring engineers Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or GCP Strong experience with modern backend technologies such as Python, Java, C#, Node.js or similar Experience with observability, debugging, reliability and production systems Nice to have Experience building AI/ML or agentic platforms LLM orchestration frameworks and agent architectures MCP or similar extensibility patterns Multi-agent systems and task delegation Vector databases / semantic search Developer experience and platform adoption Conversational AI / chat interfaces Enterprise security and compliance This is a 3-month contract-to-hire opportunity, with the expectation of moving into a permanent position for the right person. Requirements
