Located in Vernon, between Kelowna and Kamloops, VJH offers services including core physician specialties, Laboratory, 24-hour emergency and trauma services, acute and obstetrical care. Medical Laboratory Assistants perform a variety of duties such as taking blood and specimen samples from patients, preparing blood and other specimens for analysis, performing routine lab tests, distributing specimens to departments and outside Labs, operating related equipment, entering data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and performing related clerical duties and ECG testing as required. This is a Relief Full Time (1.00) opportunity until the return of the incumbent. Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating days, evenings and nights.
