Job Description And Responsibilities This role is physically demanding and performed in all weather conditions. Daily tasks involve preparing materials for loading and unloading. Working in conveyor picking stations, removing unwanted material from the product stream Cleaning production areas, including shoveling, scraping, and sweeping Assist with shop and yard cleanliness by removing debris and picking up metal from various places throughout the facility, and clearing snow as required Loading and unloading material and equipment Assisting operators with maintenance and repairs of equipment Pressure washing yard equipment Assist in organizing and cleaning the warehousing and parts storage areas Requirements High School diploma or CAEC/GED, or must pass a company comprehension assessment No experience necessary, but previous work experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar scrapyard/auto part environment will be considered an asset Able to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, sitting, climbing, crawling, kneeling, bending, moderate to heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds throughout the day Willing and able to work in variable weather conditions, including hot, dry summer conditions and cold, harsh winter conditions Knowledge and understanding of metallic materials purchased, ferrous and non-ferrous classifications, an asset Able to work with minimal supervision/general oversight Able to communicate clearly, including using a handheld radio Able to work evenings and weekends Must have reliable transportation, as the site is not accessible by transit Our total compensation package includes amazing benefits!
