Job Description And Responsibilities The Process Technology Co-op Student will work at Interpro Pipe & Steel Process Technology department at the Interpro Red Deer pipe manufacturing facility located north of the City of Red Deer, AB for a period of 4 or 8 months. This position will begin in the September term. As a member of the Process Technology Group, they will participate in tubular specialized testing projects and reviewing process data to identify non-conforming conditions. The successful applicant will use investigative techniques such as statistical process control, process analyses, data collection, and will have exposure to mechanical testing and metallographic analyses. The position will provide exposure to all aspects of Interpro Red Deer operations including pipe forming, welding, heat treatment and threading. Evaluation and analysis of data Coordinate with QA department to respond to non-conformances Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) Collapse testing management for the Red Deer facility On-site presence to collect data, answer questions, and ensure data/samples are collected. Conduct process analyses Requirements Enrolled in a recognized Engineering program at a Canadian University and completed a minimum of 1 year of the program. Preference will be given those in Materials Science or Mechanical based programs Knowledge of engineering principles including statics and strength of materials Previous exposure to steel manufacturing and testing processes would be a bonus Detail oriented and experienced with MS Office Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Self-starter with passion for improvement Good organization skills and commitment to safety Due to the nature of this position, the selected candidate will not be eligible for additional benefits and bonuses* Our total compensation package includes amazing benefits!
