Job Description And Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team in Red Deer, Alberta. As the Senior Mechanical Project Engineer , this individual will use their knowledge of machinery, fabrication, welding, hydraulics, machining, and piping to perform functions of project management, design, and technical support as defined by all departments in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner. Senior Mechanical Project Engineer are responsible for providing our Red Deer and Northern Alberta locations with equipment and designs that meet company standards and deliver project objectives. Providing technical support and troubleshooting services to maintenance and operations departments Recommending and managing capital projects Remaining current with Interpro Pipe & Steel business, including appropriate level of understanding of product manufacturing processes and applied technologies Writing project proposals, including business rules, process description, business controls, opportunities, costs, and benefits Writing requirement specifications, high level design, and architecture specifications for projects and plant processes Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with electrical experience, preferred Minimum 10 years of experience managing projects involving equipment, buildings, machinery, process piping, cooling systems, combustion systems, pneumatics, power distribution, PLCs, drives, and other systems in a heavy manufacturing environment; steel experience, strongly preferred Demonstrated experience in bringing large projects to completion by creating collaboration between operating processes, project objectives, and unifying efforts of management, maintenance, and project team Electrical experience with knowledge of machinery, fabrication, welding, hydraulics, machining, and piping Experience with troubleshooting complex manufacturing processes, mechanical systems and processes, and automation and control systems Mechanical and project management experience and combustion systems experience, preferred. Computer literate with experience in spreadsheets, word processing, Autocad, and project management software Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to write technical documents, specifications, contracts, and presentations Our total compensation package includes amazing benefits!
