InThink HR is currently representing a growing professional services organization in the search for an Assistant Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA with strong accounting, advisory, and client relationship skills who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants to take on a role with a high level of responsibility. The successful candidate will work closely with a variety of organizations, providing financial oversight, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance support, and accounting guidance. You’ll also have the opportunity to work directly with senior leaders and support the development of junior accounting professionals. Key Responsibilities Oversee and review full-cycle accounting and financial reporting. Review month-end processes, reconciliations, journal entries, and working papers. Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial reporting. Support with audit coordination. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior team members. Develop strong, long-term relationships with clients. Manage multiple priorities and client engagements while maintaining a high standard of service. Qualifications Canadian CPA designation in good standing. Several years of progressive accounting experience. Experience in public practice, including audit or assurance. Strong full-cycle accounting and financial reporting experience. Excellent communication and client relationship skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
