Backend Developer – AWS CDK

Iris's direct client, one of the Top 5 Bank in Canada, is looking to hire a Backend Developer – AWS CDK for a long-term opportunity at Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid 2 -3 days onsite/week). Position: Backend Developer – AWS CDK Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 Days in Office/week) Duration: Long-Term Open-Ended Contract Must Have: Strong experience in Python (API & backend development) Hands-on experience with AWS services: Lambda (core development), S3 (file handling), RDS/PostgreSQL (including JSONB usage), API Gateway Experience with REST API design and integration Strong SQL and data modeling skills Experience with AWS CDK / infra setup Experience working with Angular (UI integration, tables, forms) Good-to-Have Skills: Familiarity with Liquibase or database migration tools Understanding of event-driven architecture / async processing Experience in code migration/refactoring across projects About Iris Software Inc. The Backend Developer will be responsible for API and backend development using Python and AWS services. The role involves working with various AWS components and integrating with Angular for UI.

Candidates must have strong experience in Python and hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly Lambda and RDS. Familiarity with REST API design and experience with Angular for UI integration are also required.
