Role Description In this full-time, on-site Junior Interior Designer role located in Richmond Hill, ON, the team member will support senior designers in developing interior concepts and executing project deliverables. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with space planning, preparing design presentations, sourcing materials and finishes, and helping select furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E). The role involves drafting and updating construction drawings, coordinating with vendors and contractors under supervision, and maintaining project documentation. The Junior Interior Designer will participate in client meetings, contribute to design revisions, and ensure that project timelines and quality standards are met. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Interior Design and Space Planning to support functional, aesthetically coherent layouts. Candidates should possess skills in Architecture and Construction Drawings to assist with accurate plans, details, and design documentation. Candidates should possess skills in FF&E selection to help choose appropriate furniture, fixtures, and equipment aligned with project goals. Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and basic Adobe Creative Suite skills are beneficial. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced studio environment are expected. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with design teams, clients, and external partners are required. A diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, and previous internship or junior experience in a design practice are preferred.
