Log Loader Operator

Job Description Central New Brunswick Woodlands is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator (Log Loader Operator) for our Woodlands Operations. Feed logs as required to meet daily production targets. Conduct thorough daily equipment inspections and complete pre‑operational checklists. Perform general equipment maintenance such as greasing, cleaning, and reporting mechanical issues promptly. Work collaboratively with yard staff, truck drivers, and supervisors to ensure smooth flow of log inventory. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with JDI safety and environmental standards. Follow all company policies, including lock-out procedures, equipment protocols, and safety guidelines. Assist with other production tasks as required. Qualifications Minimum 1–2 years of heavy equipment operation experience; experience with log loaders is an asset. Valid equipment operator certification (or willingness to obtain through JDI training programs). Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Proven commitment to workplace safety. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. The Log Loader Operator will operate a log loader to safely manage logs in harvesting yards and meet daily production targets. They will also conduct equipment inspections and perform general maintenance.

Candidates should have 1-2 years of heavy equipment operation experience, preferably with log loaders. A valid equipment operator certification is required or the willingness to obtain one through training.
