Job summary
Our Government client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager / Project Leader to manage complex infrastructure and operational initiatives from planning through delivery. The successful candidate will oversee project scope, schedule, cost, risk, resources, and stakeholder communications while coordinating technical teams and ensuring successful delivery with minimal operational disruption. Ideal Candidate would have previous Government experience. Key Responsibilities Lead complex IT infrastructure and operations projects through the full project lifecycle. Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies. Coordinate release planning, patching, deployments, and change management activities. Coordinate incident response and operational priorities as required. Work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and senior leadership. Identify and mitigate project and operational risks. Coordinate infrastructure initiatives across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments. Ensure project activities follow established technology standards, processes, and governance. Prepare project plans, status reports, risk logs, and other project documentation. Facilitate meetings, decision-making, issue resolution, and knowledge transfer. Mandatory Requirements 8-10+ years of IT Project Management experience, preferably within infrastructure or operations. Proven experience managing complex projects through the full lifecycle. Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and priorities. Strong experience with release management, patching, deployments, and change management. Experience supporting IT operations, incident management, and service management. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience working with senior leadership. Proven ability to manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Preferred Experience Experience within large enterprise environments. Knowledge of ITIL practices, including Incident, Change, and Problem Management. Experience delivering cloud, on-premise, or hybrid infrastructure projects. Experience working with enterprise technology governance and technical teams. Strong understanding of infrastructure, operations, and emerging technologies.
