Contract Job title: Accounting Consultant Duration: 6 month rolling contract Role status: Current opening Intro paragraph (optional) We are hiring on behalf of our client, a large Canadian facilities and business services organization with operations across multiple locations. Following a recent Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation, they are looking for an experienced Accounting Consultant to support the finance team with account cleanup, reconciliations and general ledger activities. This is a hands on role suited to someone who can quickly understand existing accounting issues, work through discrepancies and bring accounts up to date. Principal tasks and responsibilities include: · Perform account reconciliations and investigate outstanding balances and discrepancies. · Complete bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding items. · Review and clean up general ledger accounts following the Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation. · Analyze accounting data to identify errors, inconsistencies and items requiring correction. · Support month end close activities and ensure accounts are properly reconciled. · Review transactions and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. · Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 to research transactions and resolve accounting issues. · Use Excel to analyze large data sets, perform reconciliations and identify variances. · Work closely with the accounting team to resolve historical accounting issues and improve the accuracy of financial records. Our client: A large Canadian facilities and business services organization with multiple locations across Canada. The organization recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 and is currently focused on accounting cleanup, reconciliation and post implementation activities. Qualifications and pre-requisites: · CPA designation required. · Strong accounting and general ledger experience. · Hands on experience with account and bank reconciliations. · Experience with general ledger cleanup and resolving accounting discrepancies. · Strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience. · Excellent Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and working with large data sets. · Strong analytical and problem solving skills. · Excellent attention to detail. · Ability to work independently and take ownership of accounting cleanup activities. · Experience supporting a system implementation or post implementation cleanup is an asset. Additional information or perks: · $50 to $75 per hour depending on relevant experience. · Hybrid role requiring 3 to 4 days per week in the Vaughan office. · 6 month rolling contract. isgSearch does not use artificial intelligence throughout the hiring process
