Role Summary We’re looking for an experienced Sr DevOps Engineer to maintain and scale PostgreSQL (ODS and transactional), Airflow and Snowflake environments. Should also be comfortable with curated data models that power Retail Planning analytics and decision-making (e.g., demand planning, assortment, allocation, replenishment, merchandise/financial planning, and performance reporting). You’ll partner closely with Planning stakeholders, Analytics/BI, and upstream source teams to ensure high-quality, governed, and reliable data products across the Retail Planning data ecosystem. Key Responsibilities DevOps Engineering & Platform Delivery Maintain and scale PostgreSQL (ODS and transactional) and Snowflake environments Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for airflow DAGs, python, dbt models and automated testing Design, deploy and maintain robust Airflow DAGs for python and dbt pipelines Review, refactor and tune complex SQL stored procs for performance, reliability and automation for testing Monitor and optimize Snowflake warehouse compute costs and query execution Implement and maintain proactive alerting for pipeline failures, dependency bottlenecks and connectivity to dependent apps like PowerBI Implement and maintain data quality controls, monitoring, and automated validations; ensure governance, lineage, and auditability standards are met. Enable self-serve consumption for Analytics/BI by publishing trusted datasets, documentation, and semantic-friendly structures. Manage and contribute to enhance AWS infrastructure and relevant CI/CD pipelines Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with Retail Planning, Merchandising, and Supply Chain stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Partner with BI/Analytics teams to automate recurring data preparation, KPI calculations, and reporting datasets. Participate in incident triage and root-cause analysis for pipeline/data issues, drive prevention through durable fixes. Skills & Qualifications Strong hands-on expertise in Postgresql, SQL and Python, and modern data engineering patterns (batch/streaming concepts, data modeling, orchestration). Strong production environment experience managing, scaling and writing Airflow DAGs Experience with enterprise level management of Snowflake, Airflow. Strong understanding of data warehousing and modeling principles (dimensional modeling, slowly changing dimensions, conformed dimensions, etc.). Experience working in cloud environments (e.g., AWS/Azure) and optimizing performance/cost at scale. Experience in code versioning (Git), CI/CD, and Agile delivery tools (Jira) must have. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills; able to translate planning needs into data products. Retail Planning domain exposure (preferred) Familiarity with retail planning concepts and data: forecasting, inventory, allocation, replenishment, assortment, pricing/promo, sell-through, WOS/DOH, in-season vs. pre-season planning, etc. Exposure to common retail data sources like sales transactions, inventory snapshots, product hierarchies, store/channel attributes, supplier/lead times, and order flows.
