Job summary
The Opportunity At Itec Equipment, our Parts Advisors do more than look up part numbers and process orders. They build relationships, solve problems and help keep our customers working. We’re looking for a customer-focused Parts Advisor who enjoys a busy environment, takes ownership of requests and understands the importance of follow-through. When a customer calls, emails or walks through our doors, we want them to know someone is taking care of them. What You’ll Do Assist customers at the parts counter, by phone and by email Identify, source, quote and sell heavy equipment parts and components Ask the right questions to understand what the customer actually needs Prepare accurate quotes and process parts orders Follow up on quotes, orders, backorders and outstanding customer requests Keep customers informed on pricing, availability and expected delivery Research alternatives and solutions when a part is unavailable or difficult to source Build strong relationships with new and existing customers Coordinate with our service, sales, purchasing and warehouse teams Maintain accurate customer, order and parts information within company systems Help manage inventory, parts availability and special orders as required Handle multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and great service Support the overall Parts Department wherever needed during busy periods What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who: Genuinely enjoys working with and helping customers Communicates clearly, professionally and confidently Takes ownership of a request from the first conversation through to completion Follows up without needing to be reminded Can prioritize and stay organized when the phone is ringing and the counter is busy Is resourceful and willing to dig for an answer Works well independently while being a strong team player Is comfortable using computers, parts catalogues and inventory systems Has experience in heavy equipment, truck, automotive, industrial or related parts environments Brings a positive, dependable and solutions-focused approach to work What Customer Service Means at Itec For us, great customer service is simple: answer the call, find the answer, communicate along the way and do what you said you would do.
