You will report to the Head of Financial Risk, Sagicor North America and will be responsible for developing and implementing risk management strategies across the organization. You will collaborate with various departments and external stakeholders to ensure that we have effective risk management practices in place. This is an important role that requires strong decision-making skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. In this role you will… The main accountabilities include: * Support risk reporting to the board and regulators * Calculate Capital at Risk, monitor risk limits and risk appetite. * Support the setting of internal capital targets * Support the delivery of the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) * Support model validation framework including conducting model validations. * Support ALM and hedging reporting * Develop responses to regulatory changes and prepare analysis of new OSFI or NAIC guidelines * Identify and assess risks in Canadian and the U.S. businesses with a focus on market, credit and insurance risks * Lead stress testing across the organization (Canada, U.S. and the Caribbean). * Develop and maintain comprehensive and reliable risk models * Lead initiatives related to the above items and recommend improvements * Cultivate strong relationships with business units and control functions to promote a risk-aware culture and add value through collaboration * Clear and concise communication to team and leader What we are looking for… * 5+ years of relevant work experience within Financial Services and/or Life Insurance industry, including experience in risk management * Bachelor’s degree in actuarial sciences, accounting, finance or similar field * ASA, ACIA, FSA or FCIA designation * Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA), Certificate in Risk Management (CRM), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional), or other relevant risk management designations * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently on complex projects * Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while multi-tasking * Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively to deliver on organizational goals * Excellent written and verbal communication skills What we pay… External Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 What's in it for you… At ivari, it's important for us to keep our people motivated, recognized, and rewarded.
