Job summary
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Payments Business Analyst with deep domain experience in high-value payments to drive the design and implementation of payment solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working on wire payment systems (e.g., Lynx, SWIFT, Fedwire) and expert-level knowledge of technical integrations (API, MQ, Feeds). You will bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, translating complex requirements into actionable solution documentation. Key Responsibilities Solution Design Analysis: Analyze complex payment business processes, identify gaps, and design robust solutions, specifically focusing on end-to-end wire payment workflows. Documentation Excellence: Create comprehensive documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Impact Analysis (IA) documents, Functional Specifications, and Interface Designs. Technical Integration Acumen: Collaborate with technical teams to define requirements for payment API integrations, MQ message queues, and file-based data feeds (ISO 20022MT messages). Stakeholder Management: Presentations Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, and IT development teams. Present solution designs, workflows, and project updates using PowerPoint. Problem Solving: Investigate UATSIT defects and production issues to provide resolution paths and support production implementation. Methodology: Work within Agile or Waterfall frameworks, maintaining traceability matrices from requirement to implementation. Required Qualifications Experience 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Solution Designer in the Financial Services domain. Domain Expertise Strong, direct experience with High-Value Wire Payments (Canada Lynx, SWIFT, Fedwire, etc.). Technical Knowledge Proven experience with API integration, MQ (Message Queuing), and file transfer formats (XML, CSV, ISO 20022). Documentation Skills Expert at producing BRDs, User Stories, and Interface Data Mapping documents. Presentation Skill Required Skill Set Payments backgrounds, worked on wire payments as an asset Understanding of integrations, MQ, API, Feeds etc Solution and problem-solving acumen Able to articulate the solution in terms of solution documents Good documentation skills, able to document BRDs, IAs etc Presentation skills, worked on PowerPoint presentations
