Through experiential programs focused on financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship, we empower students to develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive. We are seeking a passionate and organized High School Programs Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the coordination and delivery of JA's high school programming, build strong relationships with educators and volunteers, and lead student recruitment efforts for key events and experiential learning opportunities. Position Summary The High School Programs Coordinator is responsible for the successful coordination and delivery of JA Southern Alberta's in-school high school programs, including: • JA Personal Finance • JA Be Entrepreneurial • JA Company Program In-School The role also supports the coordination of JA Company Program After-School and leads student recruitment efforts for programs and events such as: • World of Choices • Be Entrepreneurial Days • Skilled Trades Summits Working closely with teachers, volunteers, students, and corporate partners, the Coordinator ensures exceptional program experiences that align with JA's mission and strategic goals. Key Responsibilities Program Coordination & Delivery • Coordinate and deliver JA's in-school high school programs across Southern Alberta. • Manage program scheduling, volunteer assignments, and program logistics. • Serve as the primary point of contact for participating schools, educators, and volunteers. • Facilitate program sessions and presentations as needed, both in-person and virtually. • Monitor program quality and participant engagement to ensure a positive learning experience. • Maintain accurate program records, participation data, and reporting metrics. • Prepare and distribute program materials and resources. Company Program Support • Assist with the coordination and administration of JA Company Program After-School. • Support student teams and volunteer mentors throughout the program cycle. • Help organize workshops, tradeshows, and milestone events. • Track participant engagement and communicate regularly with students and stakeholders. Student Recruitment & Outreach • Lead recruitment efforts for World of Choices, Be Entrepreneurial Days, Skilled Trades Summits, and other JA initiatives. • Develop and maintain relationships with high school educators, counsellors, and school administrators. • Deliver presentations and outreach activities that promote JA opportunities to students and schools. • Collaborate on marketing and communications initiatives to increase student participation. • Identify and pursue new opportunities to expand program reach and engagement. Relationship Management • Foster strong relationships with teachers, volunteers, school boards, and community partners. • Provide ongoing support and training to volunteers to ensure successful program delivery. • Respond promptly to inquiries and maintain a high standard of customer service. • Represent JA Southern Alberta at school and community events. Administrative Support • Maintain databases, registration systems, and participant records. • Compile program statistics and evaluation data. • Assist with impact reporting and program assessments. • Support special projects and organizational initiatives as required. Qualifications Required • Post-secondary education in education, business, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field. • 2+ years of experience in program coordination, education, youth programming, event coordination, or a related area. • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities at the same time. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Ability to build relationships with educators, volunteers, students, and community stakeholders. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Teams, SharePoint, and CRM/database systems. Experience using Salesforce is an asset. •Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation. Preferred • Experience working with youth or within the K-12 education sector. • Experience coordinating volunteers. • Knowledge of entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and career readiness programming. • Experience delivering presentations or facilitating workshops.
