Reference Number: 31877 Jardeg is recruiting a Boilermaker Journeyperson to join the Suncor Firebag maintenance team on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a full-time, permanent position starting as soon as possible with consistent 14 days off, 14 days on shift rotation. Camp accommodation and charter flights are provided from travel hubs Calgary or Edmonton, AB. Some of the required safety tickets will be covered.** Boilermakers build, erect, repair, test and maintain all types of boilers, tanks and pressure vessels, and perform all types of structural and plate work on air, gas, steam, oil, water and other liquid-tight (Vessels and heat exchangers). Responsibilities Develop a layout and plan the sequence of work to be done in a shop or field environment, Layout, shape and cut metal and other materials using hot and cold methods, Fit and assemble components using fastening methods such as bolting and welding, Inspect, test and perform repairs on pressure and non-pressure systems, Assemble and utilize cranes and other hoisting equipment to move and place materials, Design, assemble and use winch and block systems, Execute complex hoisting operations such as large tandem lifts, and Scope expectations also include exchanger bundle pulling, channel head removal, gasket replacements and welding activities. Minimum Requirements Certified Boilermaker Journeyperson Common Safety Orientation (CSO) Energy Safety Canada H2S alive or H2S Awareness Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Protection Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor Energy Safety Canada Certified Elevated Work Platform/Ariel Work Platform Respiratory Protective Equipment Training Certification WHMIS 2015 Overhead Crane Valid Full Class 5 Driver’s License in good standing Satifactory completion of a Pre-access Drug and Alcohol Test COME AND GET YOUR BOOTS DIRTY!
