Reference Number: 32404 Jardeg is recruiting a Millwright Journeyperson to join the SUNCOR Firebag maintenance team on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a temporary position on a 14/14 shift 12 hours per day schedule, DAY shift. Start date is within the next couple of weeks and it will only run for a couple of shifts, straight time only Millwrights install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in sites such as factories, production plants and recreational facilities. Responsibilities Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances Align and test equipment, and make any necessary adjustments Perform predictive and operational procedures Repair or replace defective parts Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems Minimum Requirements Certified Millwright Journeyperson Energy Safety Canada CSO or Common Safety Orientation Energy Safety Canada Elevated Work Platform Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection Energy Safety Canada Confined Space Rigging Overhead Crane WHMIS Mask Fit Test Class 5 Drivers License 3 years' Drivers Abstract Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test COME AND GET YOUR BOOTS DIRTY! Requirements
Applicants must be certified Millwright Journeypersons and hold the listed safety qualifications, including CSO, elevated work platform, fall protection, confined space, rigging, overhead crane, WHMIS, and mask fit test credentials. A Class 5 driver's license, a three-year driver's abstract, and successful completion of a pre-access drug and alcohol test are also required.
