Role Overview As a Talent Acquisition Coordinator at JD Sports Canada, you will play a key role in supporting the Talent Acquisition team in sourcing, onboarding, and administration. You’ll assist in building the talent pipeline for senior-level and critical roles across the Warehouse and support the Retail team in their recruitment needs. Your role will ensure a seamless recruitment experience while working closely with hiring managers and candidates to promote JD as an employer of choice. Key Duties/Responsibilities: Build talent pipeline and recruit for senior-level and/or critical roles across the Warehouse and Retail teams primarily on the East Coast Support hiring events, especially around NSOs and critical hiring seasons. Manage hiring manager relationships, develop rapport and set expectations. Onboard and coordinate first-day orientation and job-specific training schedules with hiring managers, ensuring timely completion. Prepare and issue employment offers for candidates once approvals are obtained. Ensure all reference and background checks are completed for new hires, coordinating with the relevant teams. Maintain accurate recruitment reporting and metrics, as assigned by the Talent Acquisition team. Conduct reference checks and ensure timely submission of background check information. Create and maintain employee files based on signed employment agreements, ensuring new hires are ready for payroll processing. Provide administrative support for the overall recruitment function, ensuring deadlines are met and processes run smoothly. Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed: 1-2 years of experience in a relevant role within Talent Acquisition or Human Resources. Experience in the retail industry is highly preferred. Experience leveraging an ATS and HRIS to support recruitment and employee administration. Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is highly preferred. Solid understanding of the Canadian recruitment landscape to attract top talent. Good knowledge of current HR related provincial legislation and regulations. Strong sourcing, networking and lead generation skills to locate candidates with difficult to find skill sets in local and other markets. Excellent relationship building skills and experience providing recruitment support in a coaching and advisory capacity to all levels of management. Exceptional ability to collaborate and build quick rapport with key stakeholders. Well-developed recruitment techniques and practices to source and select top talent, including leveraging multiple talent attraction channels. Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, prioritise, and manage a high-volume of tasks, deadlines, and requirements. Results-oriented and process driven, with high expectations of self and team. Requirements
