What We’re Looking For We are looking for a motivated and organized individual who takes ownership of their files, works well in a deadline-driven environment, and is committed to providing excellent service to clients and supporting the real estate team. Position Summary The Real Estate Law Clerk supports lawyers in residential and commercial real estate transactions and assists with managing files from opening through closing and post-closing. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines. Key Responsibilities Review Agreements of Purchase and Sale, mortgage instructions, and other transaction documents. Prepare closing documents and related documentation. Conduct title, execution, and other required searches and assist with due diligence. Coordinate transaction requirements and communicate with clients, lawyers, lenders, real estate agents, and other parties. Monitor transaction deadlines and follow up on outstanding documents, undertakings, registrations, and discharges. Maintain accurate and organized transaction files and records. Identify transaction or title issues and bring them to the supervising lawyer's attention. Perform other real estate transaction and administrative duties as required. Qualifications · Strong written and verbal communication skills both in English and Mandarin · Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail. · Ability to independently manage multiple files and competing closing deadlines. · Professional, dependable, and client-service oriented · Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a legal team. · Previous experience in residential and/or commercial real estate transactions. · Knowledge of Ontario real estate procedures and electronic land registration. · Experience with Teraview, OnLand, title insurance platforms, and real estate software is an asset.
