JMC Aviation is currently recruiting Aircraft Painters on behalf of our client in Montreal, Quebec. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced painter looking to build a long-term career within the aviation industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing aircraft surfaces and applying high-quality primer, paint, and finishing products while ensuring all work meets required quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface preparation. Apply primer, topcoat, and final spray finishes to aircraft surfaces. Mix and prepare paint, sealants, fillers, and other coating materials according to specified ratios and procedures. Polish and finish painted surfaces to achieve a high-quality final appearance. Perform touch-ups and corrections as required. Inspect completed work to ensure finish quality, colour consistency, and adherence to specifications. Follow technical documentation, work instructions, safety procedures, and environmental requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Safely operate painting equipment, tools, and related equipment. Work effectively as part of a team while meeting production and quality requirements. Requirements Previous experience in aircraft painting, aerospace painting, or automotive body painting. Ability to prepare, mix, and apply primers, paints, sealants, and filler materials. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes. Ability to work safely with paints, solvents, coatings, and other chemical products. Strong understanding of surface preparation and painting processes. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Legal authorization to work in Canada. French proficiency is considered an asset but is not mandatory. Education & Experience Candidates should meet one of the following qualifications: Secondary V education plus 3 years of experience in automotive body painting and/or aerospace painting; OR A.E.P. (Attestation of Vocational Specialization) in Industrial Painting / Aerospace stream; OR D.E.P. (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Auto Body Repair; OR D.E.C. (Diploma of College Studies) in Aerospace Painting. Candidates will also be required to successfully complete an assessment demonstrating basic technical skills, where applicable. Why Apply?
