The Position
We are currently seeking a skilled HVAC Apprentice to join our growing team. Open positions focus on commercial and industrial refrigeration service, maintenance, and troubleshooting across multiple sites throughout the Kitchener-Waterloo, Niagara, London, Barrie, Port Elgin or Owen Sound area.
Role and Responsibilities
- Strong diagnose, troubleshoot, service and repair refrigeration equipment and rooftop units
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Ability to read and interpret HVAC/R schematics and blueprints
- Experience working with commercial or industrial refrigeration systems (ie. racks walk-in coolers/freezers, rooftop units etc.)
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team-oriented attitude
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with codes and company standards and legislation
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Apprentice
- Minimum 2 years of commercial Refrigeration/HVAC experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with gas heating, refrigeration systems, and airflow principles
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls
- Willing and able to work overtime, as required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
- ODP certification required
