In this role, you will represent Dr. Oetker, a tier-one consumer packaged goods company, selling and merchandising its iconic brands in grocery stores.

The Opportunity:

PART-TIME SALES AND MERCHANDISING REPRESENTATIVE - OTTAWA - APPROX. 26 HOURS/WEEK

5-Month Contract

Position Summary:

Our client is Dr. Oetker, a global leader in delicious, high-quality food products that bring people together. Your role is to be a brand champion! With your proactive, goal-driven mindset and passion for excellence, you’ll ensure our client’s products shine on shelves and in the hearts of customers. From building strong retailer relationships and driving product visibility to executing flawless merchandising and spotting growth opportunities, you’ll play a key role in making our client’s brand the top choice and support market growth. Said differently: WE need YOU to help Dr. Oetker’s products rise above the rest!

What You Will Be Doing Every Day:

  • Drive Sales: Selling and building displays, placing point-of-sale material, Plan-o-Gram & bunker compliance, utilizing customer data to upsell against secured promotions.
  • Merchandising: Main shelf, displays & stock replenishment.
  • Support new product launches.
  • Check and correct distribution voids/out-of-stocks.
  • Build relationships (customer service) with key store personnel - this is an important component of the role!
  • Call Coverage: You will have a set number of retail calls to achieve every day.
  • Product quality control.
  • Gathering & reporting on field insights using an iPad.

A few other things we’ll expect from you - the 'must haves':

  • Previous sales and/or merchandising experience, preferably in the grocery channel.
  • Genuine interest in part-time, contract employment.
  • Amazing customer service and sales skills.
  • This role can be physical at times - you must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
  • Full access to a reliable vehicle which is appropriately insured for the role.
  • High-speed internet with Wi-Fi at home.
  • Comfortable working in cold environments.
  • The ability to store some supplies at home and transport them in your vehicle.
