Job details

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Account Director, Renewals & Growth based in Canada. This is a consultative account management role focused on retaining and expanding a portfolio of established B2B client relationships. You’ll take ownership of existing accounts and identify opportunities to increase their value through renewals, upselling, and cross-selling. Rather than relying on cold prospecting, you’ll work closely with established clients to understand their priorities and connect them with relevant solutions, expertise, and services. You’ll build strategic account plans, anticipate renewal risks, and develop long-term growth opportunities. Success requires a balance of commercial awareness, genuine relationship building, and disciplined execution. The role is remote within Canada, with opportunities for collaboration, coaching, and periodic in-person connection. \n Accountabilities Own and grow a defined portfolio of existing B2B accounts, with responsibility for retention, renewal, and expansion. Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and develop a detailed understanding of their business priorities, challenges, and evolving needs. Identify and develop relevant upsell and cross-sell opportunities across research, diagnostics, advisory services, software, and expert resources. Create and execute strategic account plans that connect client engagement with renewal and growth objectives. Engage clients well ahead of renewal cycles, identify potential risks, and establish compelling business cases for continued or expanded partnerships. Maintain a consistent cadence of proactive outreach, account reviews, follow-ups, and stakeholder engagement. Translate complex client requirements into clear next steps and connect clients with appropriate internal experts and resources. Maintain accurate account, activity, pipeline, and forecasting information within the CRM. Monitor performance against retention, growth, and activity objectives and use coaching and feedback to continuously improve results. Collaborate with internal teams and subject-matter experts to strengthen client relationships and advance account opportunities. Requirements At least 3 years of experience in B2B account management, client success, relationship management, consultative sales, or a related field, with demonstrated experience retaining and developing client relationships. Experience managing a portfolio, territory, or book of business against defined renewal and revenue-growth targets. Strong discovery, questioning, and active-listening skills, with the ability to uncover emerging client needs and commercial opportunities. Ability to translate complex information into clear, relevant, and commercially meaningful client conversations. Strong organizational, planning, prioritization, and follow-through skills across multiple accounts and competing priorities. Comfortable working with CRM systems and maintaining accurate, timely account and pipeline information. Collaborative mindset and sound judgment when determining when to involve internal specialists or subject-matter experts. Post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience. Strong relationship-building skills, responsiveness, curiosity, resilience, and a solutions-oriented approach. Ability to work independently, take ownership of goals, monitor performance, identify risks early, and remain receptive to coaching and feedback. Benefits Competitive compensation with strong earning potential and uncapped commissions. President’s Club recognition, awards, and incentive trips. RRSP matching. Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage. Generous paid time off, summer hours, and soft-close days. Employee recognition programs and opportunities for career development. Financial support for professional training and continued learning. Structured onboarding and ongoing coaching designed to build product knowledge, sales capabilities, and long-term career skills. Opportunities for career progression and increased responsibility. Fully remote work within Canada, with access to optional office environments in London and Toronto. Regular opportunities to collaborate and connect with colleagues and leaders. Company-wide in-person training held monthly in Toronto and London; employees located within 120 km of either office are expected to attend in person. Additional workplace perks may include a book-purchase program, pet-friendly offices, an on-site gym, virtual yoga, rooftop patio access, and company events. A collaborative environment focused on long-term client relationships, professional development, and recognition. \n How Jobgether works: We use an AI-powered matching process to ensure your application is reviewed quickly, objectively, and fairly against the role's core requirements.
