Accountabilities As a Principal Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for leading the most complex and strategic client engagements while improving delivery capabilities across the organization. Your responsibilities will include: Own end-to-end delivery of high-visibility, complex transformation programs, managing governance, timelines, budgets, milestones, risks, and success metrics across multiple client engagements. Define delivery strategies and align cross-functional teams, including implementation specialists, architects, technical teams, product teams, and engineering stakeholders, around shared business outcomes. Develop and improve scalable delivery frameworks, methodologies, feedback loops, and operational practices to increase consistency and efficiency. Act as a strategic advisor to executive-level stakeholders, building trusted relationships with senior government leaders, technology executives, and business decision-makers. Lead executive meetings, steering committees, and strategic discussions by connecting project progress to measurable organizational outcomes. Anticipate risks, manage complex stakeholder dynamics, resolve challenges proactively, and create effective contingency plans. Establish data-driven quality practices, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen delivery excellence. Optimize resource planning across multiple engagements while balancing customer outcomes, team capacity, and operational sustainability. Capture customer insights and translate project learnings into organizational knowledge, delivery playbooks, and product improvement opportunities. Mentor and develop senior delivery professionals through coaching, knowledge sharing, and hands-on guidance. Support strategic planning initiatives by identifying business opportunities and contributing insights from customer and market experience. Provide executive-level reporting on engagement performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic progress. Requirements The ideal candidate brings extensive experience leading enterprise transformation initiatives, managing complex stakeholder environments, and building scalable delivery practices. Required qualifications include: 12+ years of experience leading enterprise-level or government transformation engagements within SaaS, professional services, technology consulting, or civic technology environments. Proven experience managing complex, high-risk, multi-stakeholder programs from strategy through successful delivery. Demonstrated expertise in designing delivery frameworks, operational processes, and continuous improvement models. Strong executive communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead strategic conversations. Deep understanding of project management and agile methodologies applied to large-scale transformation initiatives. Strong financial acumen, including budget forecasting, cost management, margin analysis, and delivery performance tracking. Ability to define success metrics, analyze performance data, and communicate insights through compelling business narratives. Exceptional stakeholder management skills with experience resolving conflicts and aligning diverse groups toward common goals. Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to create frameworks and solutions for ambiguous challenges. Experience mentoring senior professionals and contributing to organizational capability development. Familiarity with public sector, government technology, permitting, licensing, or digital service delivery environments is strongly preferred. Ability to travel approximately 30-40% within Canada and the United States. Experience with Salesforce-based platforms, system integrator partnerships, organizational change management frameworks, or AI-enabled delivery practices is a plus.
