Job summary

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Owner - OMS based in Canada. This is a high-impact product leadership role focused on shaping and modernizing a custom Order Management System supporting both B2C and B2B commerce. You will own the OMS roadmap, backlog, prioritization, and quarterly delivery across distributed Agile PODs. The role combines deep OMS domain expertise with product strategy, business process analysis, and hands-on execution. You will reverse-engineer existing platforms and workflows to define scalable, future-state capabilities. Working closely with engineering, architecture, QA, project management, and business stakeholders, you will drive API-first and microservices-based solutions. Your work will directly improve order accuracy, fulfillment efficiency, scalability, and customer experience in a fast-moving digital environment. Accountabilities Own and continuously evolve the OMS product backlog, roadmap, feature prioritization, and quarterly product goals. Translate complex business requirements into detailed features, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and measurable outcomes. Lead end-to-end delivery across assigned PODs, coordinating sprint deliverables, dependencies, risks, milestones, and quality expectations. Define and deliver core OMS capabilities spanning order capture, order orchestration, inventory management, fulfillment, returns, and complete order lifecycle management. Ensure the product effectively supports both B2C and B2B commerce models and their distinct operational requirements. Analyze existing OMS platforms, processes, integrations, business rules, and edge cases to identify opportunities for modernization and improvement. Reverse-engineer current-state workflows and translate them into scalable future-state product capabilities and solutions. Partner closely with engineering and architecture teams on API-first, microservices-based product development. Define and prioritize integrations with eCommerce, ERP, payment, shipping, and third-party platforms. Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, project managers, and business stakeholders to ensure successful and predictable product releases. Monitor product performance and delivery outcomes, identifying opportunities to improve order accuracy, fulfillment efficiency, operational visibility, and customer experience. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a comparable product leadership position. Strong hands-on expertise with Order Management Systems, ideally involving custom OMS solutions or enterprise platforms such as IBM Sterling OMS, Manhattan OMS, or Fluent Commerce. Deep understanding of order lifecycle management, inventory control, fulfillment operations, and returns processing. Proven experience supporting both B2C and B2B commerce workflows. Strong experience managing product backlogs, roadmaps, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate complex operational requirements into practical product solutions. Strong stakeholder management, communication, collaboration, and leadership capabilities. Ability to work independently and effectively with distributed teams in remote or hybrid environments. Experience in retail, eCommerce, or omnichannel commerce is an asset. Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP is preferred. Experience working within distributed Agile POD structures is a plus. Familiarity with modern API ecosystems, microservices, and enterprise integrations is advantageous.
