Accountabilities The Senior IT Support Engineer will be responsible for designing and maintaining a modern internal technology ecosystem, combining technical expertise, automation capabilities, and a strong service mindset. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency, strengthening security, and creating seamless experiences for a globally distributed workforce. Administer, integrate, and optimize business-critical SaaS platforms, including CRM, customer support, finance, HR, collaboration, and engineering tools. Design reliable workflows and data synchronization processes across multiple internal systems. Build automation solutions using programming languages such as Python, Go, Bash, or Node.js to streamline internal operations. Develop scripts, CLI tools, internal services, bots, and API-driven integrations that improve business processes. Create and maintain automated workflows for onboarding, offboarding, access provisioning, and employee self-service. Implement integrations using REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, OAuth authentication, webhooks, and SaaS SDKs. Introduce AI-powered solutions such as internal assistants, knowledge retrieval systems, automated ticket management, and workflow copilots. Design and maintain a developer-friendly internal IT environment aligned with scalability and automation principles. Provide advanced technical support with a focus on root-cause analysis, user experience, and long-term solutions. Manage endpoint security, identity management, access controls, and compliance requirements following Zero Trust principles. Support security frameworks and audits while ensuring alignment with standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR. Continuously identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve internal technology processes. Requirements The ideal candidate is a senior IT professional with strong experience in systems engineering, automation, business applications, and security within modern technology environments. You should be comfortable operating independently, solving complex technical problems, and building scalable solutions. 8+ years of experience in IT Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Systems Engineering, or Platform Engineering, including 3+ years owning internal systems and automation in a SaaS or technology company. Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Go, Bash, Node.js, or similar languages. Experience operating cloud environments such as AWS and GCP, including networking, IAM roles, EC2, and S3. Strong knowledge of API integration, including REST, GraphQL, OAuth workflows, webhooks, and SaaS integration frameworks. Advanced understanding of macOS and Linux operating systems. Experience implementing identity and security solutions, including SSO, SAML, SCIM provisioning, identity lifecycle automation, and Zero Trust access models. Experience supporting security and compliance initiatives such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR. Ability to build automation tools and internal services rather than relying only on SaaS configuration. Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience working in remote-first or globally distributed teams is highly preferred. Familiarity with AI-powered automation technologies, including LLM APIs, AI copilots, semantic search, or automated support workflows is a strong advantage. Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized internal services is a plus. Experience applying SRE principles, including SLIs and SLOs for internal services, is beneficial.
