Accountabilities As a Senior Manager, Reimbursement, you will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of reimbursement programs and strategies. You will combine industry expertise, analytical thinking, and stakeholder collaboration to optimize processes, improve payer engagement, and deliver impactful healthcare solutions. Develop, implement, and support reimbursement products and processes with a focus on simplification, automation, operational efficiency, and value creation. Provide strategic guidance on reimbursement solutions, supporting business development initiatives and positioning programs effectively. Design payer-specific reimbursement journeys, identifying opportunities to improve workflows, reduce complexity, and enhance patient access. Lead the development and implementation of reimbursement solutions, including advocacy tools, appeals resources, and conversion programs. Establish best practices for financial assistance navigation and reimbursement program operations. Identify innovative solutions and strategic initiatives to address evolving reimbursement challenges. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to influence payer strategies and optimize program offerings. Collaborate with reimbursement teams, pharmacy partners, learning and development teams, and internal stakeholders to share knowledge and improve consistency. Monitor project performance, establish improvement plans, and ensure reimbursement initiatives achieve defined objectives. Analyze program data, validate coverage and reimbursement status, and recommend solutions to address access barriers. Develop reporting frameworks, performance indicators, and metrics to track reimbursement effectiveness and provide insights to leadership. Requirements The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in reimbursement, pharmaceutical services, or payer environments, combined with strong strategic, analytical, and communication skills. You should be comfortable managing complex healthcare programs, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and driving process improvements. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic background. 5+ years of experience working within patient support programs, reimbursement services, payer environments, or related healthcare fields. Advanced knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare access landscape. Deep understanding of Canadian public and private payer systems. Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to evaluate opportunities and recommend strategic solutions. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with experience interpreting data and identifying improvement opportunities. Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively across teams. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Familiarity with CRM platforms and healthcare technology solutions. Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
