Job Title: Accountant Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 CAD Role Status: Current Opening Our Client: Our client is an established Canadian organization with a growing presence across multiple markets. Intro Paragraph: We are currently supporting our client in the search for an Accountant to add to their finance function. This position will suit someone early in their accounting career who already has practical experience and is ready to take on broader responsibilities. The successful candidate will be comfortable navigating accounting systems, working with financial data, and managing recurring deliverables with limited oversight. Principal Tasks and Responsibilities Include: · Maintain accurate financial records and assist with recurring accounting activities across the business · Prepare account analyses and investigate discrepancies identified through regular financial reviews · Participate in period-end procedures and help ensure transactions are recorded in the appropriate reporting periods · Review financial and operational information to support internal reporting requirements · Assist with accounting activities connected to inventory and other balance sheet accounts · Manipulate, organize, and review high volumes of information using Microsoft Excel · Work within the organization's ERP environment to process and retrieve accounting information · Assist with ongoing enhancements to financial processes, systems, and reporting practices · Coordinate with members of the finance team to ensure deadlines and reporting requirements are met Qualifications and Pre-Requisites: · At least 2 years of practical accounting experience within a professional working environment · Previous experience using an ERP or integrated accounting platform - NAV OR BC · Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and confidence working with detailed financial information · Working knowledge of general accounting concepts and month-end processes · Experience completing reconciliations and researching account variances · Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in an environment requiring independence and initiative · Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and follow issues through to resolution · Effective communication and organizational skills suited to a remote working environment · Experience supporting an organization with physical products or inventory would be beneficial · Exposure to system implementations, upgrades, or finance transformation projects would be considered an asset Additional Information/ Perks: Remote working arrangement · Broad exposure across the accounting function · Opportunity to participate in ongoing finance and systems initiatives · Three weeks' vacation entitlement · Eligibility for additional performance-based compensation · Health and dental coverage isgSearch does not use artificial intelligence throughout the hiring process.

What you’ll do
