Location: Calgary, AB Positions Available: 1 Hours of Work: 40 hrs/wk Work Schedule: Mon-Fri Wage: $95-110 Description: The HR Advisor plays a key role in delivering business‑facing HR operational support to assigned client groups while contributing to the continuous improvement of HR processes and services. This role requires strong judgment and the ability to interpret and apply HR policies, systems, and procedures to resolve complex issues and recommend effective solutions. The HR Advisor acts as a trusted partner to the business, collaborates across HR functions, and supports initiatives that enhance service delivery, efficiency, and employee experience. What you’ll do: • Serve as the dedicated HR Advisory representative for assigned client groups, providing guidance on complex HR operational matters through the application of HR policies, procedures, and systems. • Lead and contribute to initiatives that enhance HR service delivery, including automation, self-service enablement, system optimization, and process redesign, aligned to strategic priorities. • Act as a senior subject matter expert for HR systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, ServiceNow), including configuration, testing, reporting, and optimization of HCM-related functionality. • Partner with HR and non-HR stakeholders to design and implement scalable, sustainable solutions that address business needs and improve the employee experience. • Represent HR Advisory on large, integrated project teams, influencing outcomes and delivering measurable operational or project-related results. • Apply advanced practical knowledge, judgment, and experience to resolve complex, high-impact issues and proactively identify improvement opportunities. • Analyze trends and recurring issues to identify gaps and recommend process, policy, or system improvements. • Partner with HRIS and other HR teams to implement technology‑enabled solutions and mitigations. Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements: • Legally authorized to work in Canada • Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR operations experience in a business‑facing role; oil and gas experience is considered an asset. • Post‑secondary degree in Business, Commerce, Human Resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience. • CPHR designation or working toward designation is an asset. • Experience working within an HR shared services environment is preferred. • Comfortable using HR systems and tools, with experience in SAP, Workday, and ServiceNow preferred. • We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
