One full-time permanent Maintenance Building Operator, Benjamin Road, position available, starting on August 31, 2026, working 37.5 hours per week. * Candidates must be willing and able to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation. On-call responsibilities include being available to respond to facility emergencies 24 hours per day during assigned on-call periods and providing weekend coverageas part of the rotation schedule. Compensation is provided for on-call availability and applicable call-out responses. Your Role: In this role, you will be responsible for: * Perform PM inspections and routine building equipment checks. * Monitor, operate, maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. * Respond to emergency calls, fire alarms, system failures, and after-hours incidents. * Conduct life safety inspections and support fire safety, generator, and sprinkler system compliance. * Troubleshoot and complete work orders in a timely manner. * Support resident and staff requests while ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment. * Works in alignment with the Agency’s commitment to equity to further create a sense of belonging at the Agency. * The above tasks are representative but not all inclusive. Your Talents and Experience: * High school graduation with knowledge of hand and power equipment. * Certification required in one of the skilled trades, certified building operator, maintenance mechanic. * Ability to perform a wide variety of maintenance tasks using hand tools and power equipment. * Minimum of 3 years of successful experience of maintenance work in a commercial, industrial, educational or institutional setting. * Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, problem solve and work independently and as part of a multiservice delivery team. * Some knowledge of plants and trees is an asset. * Working at Heights training an asset. * Pool Operator certification an asset. * Ability to relate well with people. * Ability to communicate with people and be open to direction. * A passion for excellence in customer service. What you’ll do

The Maintenance Building Operator is responsible for performing routine inspections and maintaining building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. They must also respond to emergency calls and ensure compliance with life safety and fire safety regulations.

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma and a professional certification in a skilled trade or building operations. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a commercial, industrial, or institutional maintenance setting is required.
