Role Description The Sales Specialist is a remote, contract role responsible for identifying, developing, and managing commodity trade opportunities across ASTRO Commodities’ key markets. Day-to-day activities include prospecting and qualifying buyers and suppliers, conducting outreach via calls, emails, and online meetings, and managing a structured pipeline of leads and opportunities. The role involves presenting service offerings, clarifying client requirements, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting the preparation of proposals and transaction documentation. The Sales Specialist will also provide ongoing client support, maintain accurate records in CRM or tracking tools, and contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes and training materials. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage professionally with global clients and stakeholders. Candidates should possess solid Sales and Sales Management skills to build pipelines, close deals, and manage ongoing relationships and performance metrics. Candidates should possess Training capabilities to help educate clients and internal team members on processes, products, and compliance requirements. Experience in commodities, international trade, logistics, or related industries is highly beneficial. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple opportunities, and meet agreed targets and deadlines. Proficiency with CRM systems, online communication tools, and basic data analysis for tracking sales performance. Relevant education in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
