Reception, Client Care Location: Edmonton, AB Employment Type: Part-time Guardian Veterinary Centre is welcoming part-time Veterinary Receptionists to our team! The perfect candidate will be an organized, motivated, eager and empathetic individual with a desire to learn more about the veterinary hospital setting. Our CCS team is an important, highly valued team that supports the entire hospital. This is an amazing opportunity for post-secondary students to gain exposure and experience at the front desk of a busy veterinary hospital. Schedule: We are currently seeking a candidate who can work a day shift on Sundays. Key Responsibilities Create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet parents Answer a multiline phone system and track and schedule appointments effectively Place outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings Respond and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages Admit and discharge pet patients Invoice/bill clients; obtain pet owner confirmation, and process payments Perform general housekeeping duties; maintain cleanliness of reception area, examination rooms, pet holding areas, and common areas Have a willingness to learn more regarding veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments Learn common medical terminology Enrollment in a veterinary medicine program (i.e. VMR, VMA, Veterinary Technician or Pre-Veterinary programs) is an asset! Previous customer service or front desk experience in hospitality is an asset!
