As a Production and Logistics Coordinator at Ryerson, you will be responsible for being a key liaison between sales, operations and transport companies. This role ensures a smooth flow of material movement from receipt to delivery. Duties also include coordinating incoming and outgoing trucks, ensuring incoming material and production orders are received and released in a timely manner. This position will work out of Ryerson's Edmonton or Winnipeg location. Roles And Responsibilities Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure accurate and timely movement of goods. Prepare shipping documents including bills of landing and packing slips. Track incoming and outgoing shipments and communicate delivery updates with vendors and internal teams. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and stock reconciliation. Schedule freight pickups and deliveries with carriers and logistics providers. Verify received materials against purchase orders and report discrepancies or damaged goods. Support warehouse and operations teams with administrative tasks and data entry. Monitor shipping costs and help identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. Assist with coordinating production schedules and customer orders when required. Acting as a liaison with the sales team related to expediting and order changes All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice Requirements High school diploma or equivalent is required Formal education in one or more of the following: administration, logistics, procurement, inventory management or equivalent experience 1 – 3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics or operations administration required Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft office, Excel and Outlook Training or experience with ERP, inventory or shipping software is an asset Must possess excellent customer service skills including effective verbal and written communication abilities Strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams Ryerson Canada is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
