A Day in the Life: Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Warehouse Technician supports safe and reliable site operations by receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining materials and consumables. This role ensures inventory accuracy in SAP, maintains organized warehouse and yard spaces, and operates approved material-handling equipment. The position also requires strong safety, housekeeping, communication, and documentation practices while supporting maintenance, operations, procurement, contractors, and other site teams. Position Details:
The starting hourly rate for this role is $35.00 Schedule is Monday – Friday 8am - 4:30pm
What You’ll Be Doing:
Receive, unload, verify, and record materials in SAP; ensure proper labeling, storage, and accessibility. Pick, stage, issue, and track materials to support maintenance and operations. Maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies. Monitor consumables, coordinate replenishment, and support purchasing activities as needed. Maintain organized, clean, and safe warehouse, yard, and storage areas. Operate forklifts, telehandlers, and other equipment safely; complete inspections and report issues. Support warehouse documentation, reporting, and SAP master data updates (e.g., BOMs, materials). Ensure compliance with safety, quality, GMP, and company policies. Communicate material availability, issues, and risks to internal teams. Support maintenance planning and material readiness. Notify leadership of waste, storage, or capacity concerns and follow site waste procedures. Perform other duties as required.
Skills & Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Warehouse Technician certification is an asset. Valid driver’s license. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or inventory control. Experience operating industrial material-handling or mobile equipment. Experience with SAP (Goods Receipts, inventory movements, BOMs, material master data). Experience in industrial, manufacturing, food processing, or maintenance environments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and warehouse systems. Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying environments. Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required. Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills. Knowledge of inventory control, stock rotation, labeling, and storage practices. Ability to complete required equipment training and follow safe work practices.
Working Conditions:
Work may take place in warehouses, yards, storage buildings, production areas, and elevated workspaces. Conditions may include outdoor weather, noise, dust, moving equipment, chemical areas, and site traffic. Use of PPE, fall protection, mobile equipment, and adherence to site procedures is required.
