Your New Role
As Operations Controller, you will support the financial management of a key manufacturing facility, partnering closely with site leadership and the broader finance function. While grounded in core financial discipline, the role is heavily operational in nature—focused on providing actionable, real-time financial insight at the plant level, improving cost visibility, and enabling informed operational decision‑making across production, inventory, and manufacturing performance.
Reporting to a Director of administration and finance, you will contribute to budgeting, forecasting, performance tracking, and financial reporting, while helping ensure appropriate controls, processes, and data integrity are in place. You will also play a role in systems optimization and ongoing process improvements as the business continues to modernize its finance infrastructure.
The position is based on a hybrid working model, with a regular on‑site presence to support collaboration with operational teams.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Solid understanding of production costs, margins, and cost drivers Ability to interpret operational activity through a financial lens Strong analytical skills with a practical, solutions‑focused mindset Comfortable working with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders Experience supporting budgets, forecasts, and performance analysis Exposure to ERP systems or system upgrades is highly beneficial CPA designation is preferred but not essential Experience across multiple sites or jurisdictions is an asset French language skills are considered an asset
This opportunity is suitable for candidates progressing from a senior accounting or financial analysis background, as well as experienced controllers seeking a plant‑focused role.
