Our client, a leading commercial real estate developer and builder, is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to support the delivery of industrial, retail, and mixed-use commercial projects in Calgary.
With a strong track record in large-scale business parks, distribution facilities, and tenant-driven developments, this is an opportunity to join a high-performing, well-capitalized organization with a significant pipeline of work.
The Opportunity As Superintendent, you will take ownership of site operations across industrial and commercial developments, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities Lead all on-site construction activities for industrial, warehouse, retail, and commercial projects Manage subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to drive schedule adherence and productivity Develop, maintain, and update construction schedules, identifying and mitigating risks Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards Oversee quality control, site inspections, and deficiency management Coordinate closely with project managers, consultants, and ownership teams Review drawings, specifications, and scopes to identify conflicts and optimize execution Lead site meetings and communicate progress, challenges, and milestones effectively
Qualifications & Experience Proven Superintendent experience in commercial, retail, or warehouse construction Experience delivering tenant-driven or spec industrial buildings is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to lead trades and manage fast-paced project schedules Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Strong commitment to safety and quality
